Vet a supplier before you wire a deposit.
Tiruppur makes more than half of India's knitwear exports. Finding a factory there is easy. Finding one that will actually make what you specified, at the quality you agreed, and ship it on time — that is the part that costs people money. This is the process we run for clients, written down.

What's inside
Who it's for
Buy this if
- You are sourcing cotton knitwear — tees, polos, hoodies, joggers, babywear
- You are placing your first orders in India, or have been burned once already
- You want to know what to ask before money moves
Skip it if
- You source woven garments — denim, shirting, tailoring. Different cluster, different handbook
- You already have an established Tiruppur supplier you trust
- You want us to do it for you — that's our sourcing service
The two templates
Most of the handbook is process. The last section is not — it is two things you can send the same day you read it.
- The first-enquiry email. Structured so a supplier's reply tells you whether you are talking to a manufacturer or a trading desk. It opens with one question that most trading houses answer badly.
- The purchase-order clauses. Quality standard, inspection terms, payment trigger, bank-detail protection, delay remedy, document approval. Every clause is there because its absence has cost somebody an order.
Frequently asked questions
What format is it, and how do I get it?
It is a complete written handbook, delivered immediately after purchase through Whop. You get access the moment payment clears — there is no waiting and nothing shipped.
Is this just general sourcing advice?
No. It is specific to Tiruppur and to cotton knits — which processes sit inside the cluster, why minimum order quantities are set by dyeing rather than stitching, which ports goods leave from, and which certifications actually get checked. General sourcing advice would not tell you any of that.
Who wrote it?
Richie&Richie Agency, based in Tiruppur. We verify manufacturers on the ground for overseas buyers as part of our export and trade service, and this is the process we follow.
Can I get help applying it to my own order?
Yes — that is our sourcing service. See how it works, or message us directly on WhatsApp.
